Okay, I'm squeaking in under the line -just missing a full year between updates. This seemed like the most appropriate place for me to post my Supergirl Sketch for Dean's Supergirl Meme. Click the image below for the larger version:

For a web-comic that almost never updates, Zita sure gets her share of fan mail. I've been getting about 1 e-mail a week lately asking "what happened to Zita the Spacegirl?"

Well, for those who have enjoyed this comic, there is good news and bad news:

The bad news is that I've been tremendously busy. Not only with regular work but in planning an upcoming 8 month trip to Italy so that I can finally actually study and learn art.

But the good news is that right now, this very month, I'm working on a new 15 page Zita story for Flight 4. It's full of all the things you love -robots and creatures and a magical wishing sock. An so far, it shows every indication of turning out really well.

So, while updates may be infrequent, or even downright rare, don't forget about Zita the Spacegirl! And in the meantime, enjoy this most excellent piece of Zita art from Mike Maihack:

Woo! Here's July's comic!

Well, I missed a month. Hopefully this one will pass muster. I've been wanting to use this guy in a comic since he started showing up in my sketchbook a year or so ago.

April's Zita comic also turned out to be three pages of fun. Now that everyone is used to this, I'll never be able to drop back down to a reasonable length!

In order to usher in a new era -the era of me spending more time on all things Zita, I am posting a brand new, 3 page Zita comic! I've started creating these in standard comic book page size because, well... you never know.

I've finally managed to get the About Zita and Her Friends section up to speed. There's obviously quite a bit to add yet, but I'll get to it. The Art section has been cleaned up too with a Guest Art gallery all set up.

And there's more to come! I'm going to be spending more time now, updating and adding to Zita's world. And there's a new, three page Zita comic just around the corner. So stay tuned!

I'm getting off on a technicality this month by posting an earlier comic that I haven't loaded onto the website yet. This was actually the first of the larger, full-colored Zita comics.

I've started to put together the Art section, starting with a few pieces of cool Guest Art by Rad Sechrist and Marco (who really nailed Zita's personality in his piece).

My goal for December is to clean up the art section, put up a brand new comic, and start work on the "about zita and her friends section." I have this idea that if i announce my goals each month it will force me to meet them. ...oh boy.

The latest Zita comic is finally up! I feel bad that these are so few and far between and that the site hasn't been developing quickly, but at the same time I'm spread out over several projects. Zita the Spacegirl is one of those things that will develop slowly but surely. Like wine or cheese or a good friendship.

I've added a few comics to the Comics Section! I know, I know. It's not much. But it's a start and a good start makes everyone a winner, right?
